E-parent

Home-School communication is very important to us here at New Bridge and we aim to provide you with a method that is suitable for you. One popular way is through our website using the e-Parent account; there is an e-Parent login link at the bottom left of every page. All parents/carers are assigned a login to access this facility and this includes a New Bridge email address which you can request to be forwarded to a preferred email address should you wish. You will receive a letter with your personal login details along with a guide to using e-Parent which you can view here. Once you have successfully logged on to our system you will have a host of options available to you.

If you have not received your login details, please contact us and we will send you them.

As you begin to send us information we will, of course, update your child’s records with that data and you can check that what we have is correct. Other areas available are:

Timetable

You will be able to view your child’s timetable to help you with identifying who teaches your son/daughter and also remind you of when cooking money, PE kit, swimming kit etc. should be sent into school.

Letters Home

All communication is uploaded to your account so you need never miss any correspondence. You can see who the letter was sent to, why and how. If the letter is asking for permission for a trip or visit you can also give approval at the tick of a box and then pay online.

Home-School Diary

Our online home-school diary provides day-to-day communication with staff who work directly with your child. Messages entered here will be dealt with at registration times and we even upload your reply – no more losing paper documents!

School Calendar

The school sets all important dates up to a year in advance so you can be fully aware of parents’ evenings, school shows and other fantastic events at the touch of a button.

Extended School & Parent Partnership Officer

Talk to our Extended School & Parent Partnership Officer via an online tool. Any comments or concerns will be dealt with promptly if you make contact via this forum. We will chase through actions for you and ensure your queries are answered in a prompt and sensitive way.

Resources

A host of resources from e-forms to dealing with puberty and sex education and correspondence in other languages is available for any parent wanting some extra help.

  • If your child is going into hospital

The Learning Disabilities and/or Autism Service can provide help and support if your child needs to go into hospital.

They are an all age service and are here to give advice and support to:

  • Adults, children and young people with learning disabilities and/or autism who are coming into hospital or currently using their services
  • Parents and carers of a patient with learning disabilities and/or autism

If your child is coming into hospital or is already in hospital, you can contact them if you want to talk about any specific needs they may have and to ensure that any reasonable adjustments they may require are put into place.

There is more information available on the Learning Disability and Autism pages of the Northern Care Alliance NHS Group website here.
