Lumenus Update – College End of Year Performance

‘Went to see Lumenus’ Midsummer dreaming at the Spindles shopping centre in Oldham today (Tuesday 4th July). What a great experience! The audience were led into the performance space (a disused shop, next to J D Sports) and instantly we were transported into the story of a Midsummer Night’s Dream. As an audience we were encouraged to interact with the actors – from the cast welcoming us, to dancing and singing along later on.
‘Even though it was an interactive performance it wasn’t done in a Pantomime style but rather in a Slick and stylised way. The actors never came out of character during the interactions with the audience (in fact they were all extremely focused at all times).
This was a dynamic, engaging, interactive performance which flowed, was entertaining, poignant and very professional. The acting was of a very high standard and the movement and dance pieces were wonderful. Loved the costumes too! Absolutely loved it! Thanks.”
