Pre-Intern 2 Blog 18/2/22
For the past few weeks our pre-interns have continued to work hard.
In the Atrium our students have been deep cleaning the tables and chairs. What was most impressive about this task was that it was one of our students, Ronnie, who volunteered to do the job. It involved a lot of manual handling and moving but the lads did an amazing job with the deep clean.
It’s not all been cleaning and lifting. Our students have been developing their catering skills by making pies and wrapping biscuits as well as working on their Maths and English skills.
In our Employability lessons, they have been working on their presentations for their qualification. Jake, Lewis and Dante were very brave to show and present their first drafts to their peers.
This week in our tutor sessions our theme was around “How we grow as a group” and “Why are friendships important to our mental health?”
Our students enjoyed reflecting on their own skills and qualities and those of their peers and have designed some excellent first drafts for their posters.
Before I sign off I just want to say a massive well done to Kian, Dante for getting “Worker of the Week” awards since our last blog.
