Well, we have actually come to the end of the academic year. I’m really not sure how it’s come round so quickly but this year has been very, very different.
As many of you will remember, it was back in December when Mr Wood mentioned that he would be passing over the college to myself. Since December I have got to know all the students and staff at the college and I must say that they have made me feel so welcome. I know you will all feel the same when I say the Medtia team are amazing. They not only support you and your child but they are a fantastic support to me in everything I ask them to do. Thank you Team for all your support during these difficult months.
Our job coach Nicola has a special message for our Pre Interns..
As we come to the end of another year in the pre-internship pathway. I would just like to thank all our placement providers, parents and carers and of course our students… Nathan, Jade, Sarah, Summer, Alan, Ethan and Kieran. Thank you for all your hard work, effort and enthusiasm. You guys have been amazing and we are so proud of you.
Have a safe and enjoyable summer and we will see you soon.

Our job coach Genna has news of the students she supported down at Manchester Metropolitan University..
Hi, well our Bridging the Gap and Future Finders students have been doing well and are probably looking forward to a week where I don’t call them! Josh is still working at the Co-Op and has been playing golf to keep busy, which he loves! (I myself was not as keen for the 6 mile walk up hills which finished me off!!) We had a lovely time, next time crazy golf! (I can play that) Josh is looking forward to coming back in September and going back to MMU.

Luka and Dom have been applying for jobs! Dominic is working with his uncle and helping with valeting cars and Luka and I went for a nice walk in the rain!
Our students have completed their Employability Level 1 Award this year and this will certainly help with all their future interviews. It’s been an interesting year but we are all very much looking forward to getting back in September. I will leave you with a short video from our students last year..

Patrick has been keeping very busy at home too and we are very impressed with the workout he has created, complete with clear instructions:
Well done Patrick!
You will have received a letter regarding the changes we will be making to ensure that all our staff and students are kept safe when we return in September. As I noted in the letter, I will continue to keep in touch regarding the progress of the building and how transition will work for all the students moving to the new college.
Finally, I want to thank you all for all your support during this very difficult time.
I’m really looking forward to welcoming everyone back to our New Bridge College in September.
If you have any concerns over the holidays, please do not hesitate to get in touch with me.
