Tom, one of our DIGIT4LL Pathway students, won a very prestigious award this week…the Sir John Moores Award. Tom was presented with the award and a cheque for £100 which he had no idea about so he was blown away when they announced what he’d won..
Sir John Moores CBE was an English businessman and philanthropist, most famous for the founding of the Littlewoods retail company. In his memory Young Enterprise was provided with a trust fund to award and recognise the outstanding achievement of young people taking part in the Young Enterprise programme.
We have seen Tom grow and grow over the last 12 months and he has demonstrated a real enthusiasm when helping run our enterprises at Medtia. Tom’s role has been Finance Director but he is involved in so much more than that – design and promotion, presenting our ideas to others, trading at regional events not to mention being a fantastic motivator for others too..
Tom stood out among hundreds of pupils across the whole of the North West to win the award. We are very proud of him and as it’s his last year with the New Bridge Group we would like to wish him all the best for the future as he moves on to Oldham College in September.
Well done, Tom!!
