Our IB classes have had a lovely time celebrating Chinese New Year. IB1 painted some beautiful cherry blossom..
..and made their very own dragon..
IB3’s new theme is China and we are looking at the Silk Road in our story. We have made a dragon too..
..and some special prawn crackers to feed him with (and practice our counting)..
Our Maths lesson saw us making egg fried rice after we’d worked up an appetite feeding all those prawn crackers to the dragon..
Our theme this term in IBLC1 is Magic Carpet ride. In Maths and Living Skills our focus is going on a magic carpet ride to different places with our first stop being China ready for the Chinese New Year. On Outdoor Ed. we had a wonderful visit to Ocean Treasure as part of our Chinese New Year work. We explored different objects and decorations and bought some wonderful things for our classroom and lessons..
We have been exploring different objects of reference linked to China..
.. and used different materials and ingredients to decorate lanterns, dragons and cherry blossom trees..
We have also searched for objects of reference in our rice to see what we could find..
Happy Chinese New Year, everyone!!
